thank you mr scottness for the quality of your super8 stills.
But now i am a bit suprised by the low quality of the DV images. The problem is that one can't compare an interlaced still with a non interlaced super8 image. I thought this new JVC cam was flabbergasting as far as quality.
Just take a look to this still generated with a same
price cam (progressive/non-interlaced) dvx-100 panasonic:

this is the hardest thing to film with non HD material: sharp landscaping. The panasonic is quite amazing even handheld.
But still it stays video.
Conclusion: i am quite ready to sacrifice sharpness for
working with film. I will start with K40. As soon as i get some good stills, i will post them.
